Jag har m\u00e5nga roller i mitt liv. Jag b\u00f6rjade min ”yrkesbana” som pastor men har l\u00e4mnat den. Men emellan\u00e5t blir det en del f\u00f6rr\u00e4ttningar. Jag kan inte s\u00e4ga att jag gillar att ha begravningar, men upplever det som ett fantastiskt f\u00f6rtroende varje g\u00e5ng som jag f\u00e5r fr\u00e5gan. N\u00e5gra g\u00e5nger per termin finns jag i talarstolen i olika kyrkor, helst i min egen. Idag \u00e4r ett s\u00e5dant tillf\u00e4lle. Jag har f\u00e5tt ett antal fr\u00e5gor i konceptet ”Jag Undrar”. De ska jag f\u00f6rs\u00f6ka svara p\u00e5. Det blir en slags framtida tidslinje d\u00e5 fr\u00e5gorna handlar om det man i teologin kallar eskatologin – l\u00e4ran om de yttersta tingen. Men under mina f\u00f6rberedelser har jag f\u00e5tt en s\u00e5ng p\u00e5 n\u00e4thinnan. Denna i sin tur p\u00e5minde mig om mina ton\u00e5rsupplevelser d\u00e5 jag kom i kontakt med Larry Normans verk. Under 1970-talet kom han att p\u00e5verka miljoner unga m\u00e4nniskor. Hans formuleringar tog tag i mig och ibland kan dikten vara s\u00e5 stark och n\u00e4rvarande. Flera strofer har f\u00f6ljt mig sedan mina ton\u00e5r.\u00a0Bob Dylan \u00e4r en annan person som p\u00e5verkat m\u00e5nga genom sina texter och blev t o m nobelpristagare\u00a0i literatur. En av de dikter som p\u00e5verkat mig mest i livet \u00e4r The Great American Novel av Larry Norman. Det var m\u00e5nga \u00e5r sedan jag tog del av den, men inf\u00f6r min predikan tog jag del av den igen. L\u00e4s den g\u00e4rna:<\/p>\n

\n But it’s against the law to pray in school;<\/em>
\n You say we beat the Russians to the moon,<\/em>
\n And I say you starved your children to do it.<\/em><\/p>\n

You are far across the ocean but the war is not your own,<\/em>
\n And while you’re winning theirs, you’re gonna lose the one at home;<\/em>
\n Do you really think the only way to bring about the peace<\/em>
\n Is to sacrifice your children and kill all your enemies?<\/em><\/p>\n

The politicians all make speeches while the news men all take note,<\/em>
\n And they exaggerate the issues as they shove them down our throats;<\/em>
\n Is it really up to them whether this country sinks or floats?<\/em>
\n Well I wonder who would lead us if none of us would vote.<\/em><\/p>\n

Well my phone is tapped and my lips are chapped from whispering through the fence,<\/em>
\n You know every move I make, or is that just coincidence?<\/em>
\n Well you try to make my way of life a little less like jail,<\/em>
\n If I promise to make tapes and slides and send them through the mail.<\/em><\/p>\n

And your money says in God we trust,<\/em>
\n But it’s against the law to pray in school;<\/em>
\n You say we beat the Russians to the moon,<\/em>

\n You say all men are equal, all men are brothers,<\/em>
\n Then why are the rich more equal than others?<\/em>
